Conclusion: alice rocks out
Review: This is a great cd. Alice Cooper is still giving us great music, something Kiss needs to learn from. Because if they try they can come up with new stuff too. And if you Make music that rocks and you like, the fans will still buy it. Personally my favorite cooper stuff was "brutal planet". I wish he'd return to that great sound too. but this one satisfies my hard rocking horror movie loving soul; just like his many great songs from the past do for me as well. And the songs are really cool with even Ozzy Osbourne helping out. So if you like great hard rock you will enjoy this great cd.

Review: While I was excited that Alice returned to his old sound and the songs were good. There was nothing that really stood out. And even though this was a concept album about a serial killer the songs didn't really go together for any kind of album. Almost like a album of good outtakes.

Review: I'm listening to "Along Came a Spider" for the fourth consecutive time as I'm writing this and with each play I slip further and further into my youth. Suddenly it's 1977 again. Fan-freakin'-tastic!
I have a friend who is an Alice Cooper impersonator who has met Alice several times and he gave me the heads up on this album, nearly begging me to listen to it. Daaaaang! There isn't a weak sister in this group! I am absolutely in love with "Vengence Is Mine"!

Review: Alice Cooper-Along Came A Spider ****
Conceptually Along Came A Spider is one of Alice Coopers strongest works of his career. Chronicling a murderer while nothing really new for Alice Cooper it is done very well. The plot is very strong and always entertaining.
Lyrically Along Came A Spider contains some of Coopers best work and almost fifteen years, and vocally he sounds great through out the album. Alice feels like he hasn't lost a beat over all these years and it is refreshing with all these old acts releasing albums that should be left in the studio.
Musically the album leaves something to be desired though. At times the guitar playing feels like it isn't even there, which is sad considering Alice Cooper is known for having killer axe men. The rest of the band is less than stellar as well. It just doesn't feel like a Alice Cooper album musically.
But over all Along Came A Spider is the best Alice Cooper album to come along in a while. It's is easily worth it if your a fan.
