This lens hood blocks out extraneous light. A hood adapter, designed to accept 46mm lens filters.

Review: Fits the camera well and serves not only as a hood but also allows the use of 46mm filters. Price is right too.

Review: The 2 pieces is wonderful. It allows you to remove the hood and use the barrel as an adapter tube. It also allows you to keep your unit powered on (lens extended), and stick it in a coat pocket. Great for filters too. It also helps protect the lens barrel.

Conclusion: Mostly useless

Review: This hood is in two parts, which is the first strike against it. It locks in place positively enough.

That said, you cannot use the lens cap while the hood is mounted, and Sigma didn't have the common sense to provide a cap for the lens hood itself.

The camera also loses most of its pocketability once the hood is mounted.

Not recommended.
