Based on the highly popular Rebel 2000 and TI, the K2 has an improved pop-up flash which provides a bit more separation from the center of the lens mount, providing valuable millimeters of clearance for less redeye and lens obstruction of flash illumination. The program control dial is now located right next to the shutter release button, effectively allowing one-handed operation. It also features a large LCD information panel on the back panel, and has an improved ergonomic design. The full range of Canon lenses are all compatible with this camera. Also included is a brand new Cosina lightweight and compact standard zoom lens that covers the 28mm wide angle to 80mm medium telephoto range. The lens incorporated high refractive-index glass to achieve superior imaging performance. This is a lens with high cost-performance that can be widely used for everyday snapshots to portrait photography. Also close range photography focusing down to 0.5m away from the subject can be accomplished at every focal length without the use of changeover switch. This means at focal length of 80mm, macro photography of 1:5.3 can be easily accomplished. Conclusion: Great kit for starters!
Review: I guess it's a very good price for what you get, for starters. My son is studying photography and after the professor saw the quality of the pictures, he immediately asked my son to take pictures using the Manual settings. Great pictures and very manageable instructions. The tripods and filters are excellent.
