Conclusion: Nikon MB-D10 Batteyr Grip

Review: This is a great grip! It may be a little more expensive than its predecessors the MB-D80 and MB-D200 but in my opinion it has a better build quality and better design. It locks onto the camera firmly and doesn't feel loose or as if it has any play in its connection to the body. Most importantly it completely changed the feel and balance of D300 for the better. Some people complain of a sensitive shutter, it is slightly more sensitive but i have gotten used to it, and you really only notice its sensitivity in the CH (high fps) mode.

All and all I definitely would recommend this product!

Conclusion: Usefull addition...

Review: In terms of use, the MB-D10 is quite better than the battery pack for the D-200, it sits a lot firmer in place and allows for more interaction with the camera body than the MB-D200 does.

The finish and feel are better than the MB-D200.

It holds one EN-EL3e while the body keeps it's own inside and you choose which one of the batteries will be used first.

This makes only two batteries avaliable to the body, just the same as the MB-D200 does.

The MB-D10 requires you take it off the body to re-charge the battery, while the MB-D200 one does not, this is a bit of an annoyance.

The D-300 becomes quite bulky with the pack but it does maintain it's well balanced feeling, particularly while shooting verticals.

I do travel, landscape and nature photography (www.leosalazar.com) and so for me it has become a needed accessory (my D200 has the MB-D200 as well) as my work takes me away from power outlets for hours and days on end. Otherwise, it just adds weight and bulkiness.

As an old timer... I am used to and prefer heavier cameras than today's and so like the heftier feel of the D-300 with the pack.

I have not used nor find the need to get the EN-EL4a battery for my work.

Conclusion: A must for your D300/D700.

Review: Solid. Fits perfectly without any wobble. It feels like part of the camera it is that solid. The ability to use AA batteries for 8fps or in place of the expensive batteries from nikon is great. I use Energizer 2500mah NiMH rechargables as 8 cost me $21. The en-el4a batteries cost $99 plus the charger. The command dials are just as solid as the cameras though i find the release to be a little soft or spongie. I've gotten used to it over the last month and no longer have issues with it. That is honestly my only complaint about this grip. This is the best grip nikon has ever released.

Review: Since I had purchased this item I have put it to the test through a wedding, a weeks worth of shooting out of town, and some boring stuff and it has not let me down. I am very happy with it and have seen no negatives. 8 Double A batteries is the only downside but there is no getting around that!!

Conclusion: Okay

Review: The grip itsself is great, the battery life is pretty short though, Nikon needs a longer lasting batter that lasts at least 2+ hours.
