Conclusion: Great Deal as Advertised Review: It was a very smooth transaction. I received exactly what was advertised. The shipping was very quick and professional. I will definitely buy from this seller again. The free bundled software works great. There were no issues and the DVD writer works perfect.

Conclusion: Lightscriber Review: I love this lightscribe feature. My wife is a cheerleading coach and she made a photo DVD for the girls and lightscribe the front side of each. Everyone asked if we paid someone to make the DVDs since the turned out so nice. Very neat. The player itself is a bit noisy, but no moreso that any other high speed cd reader I've heard. I am a happy customer who would buy it again.

Conclusion: DVD/RW Review: Unit wooks well for basic backup. To use the print on the disc feature you have to purchase the appropriate coated discs.

Conclusion: HP-DVD 940i Internal lightscribe Review: Easy to install and mechanically reliable and very fast - burned 217 2-4 MB jpegs in about 3 minutes. However, the Nero DVD Burning software proved to be a bit fussy and so far only seems to work from the System Admin account in Windows XP Pro (although that could be a Windows issue). The Lightscribe function is somewhat slow in best quality mode and took 14 minutes to burn a photo image although the finished results were pretty good.
Overall good value and I would buy it again because when you buy HP you are buying good, fast, reliable mechanics and you learn to deal with the software wrinkles as a secondary issue.
