Conclusion: Latch is not reliable
Review: No one would argue that the latch on a camera case needs to be fail safe especially on location in difficult terrain where your camera can fall out of the case and tumble down a ravine. Recently on such a trip the latch on the camera case continually failed. Fortunately the camera did not fall out of the case but I was constantly having to re-latch the case.

Conclusion: Cool Looking Case
Review: I bought this case primarily because I wanted to go with a retro look with my camera. Sure, I could have saved some cash and bought a cheaper case, but this has style. The case is well put together, and after a year of abuse it looks great, while more importantly protecting the camera. I still get a lot of comments on the look; people almost expect me to pull out some old fashioned camera.

Review: This is a solid, finely built case. The interior clearly will provide good protection. The camera, including the lens cap, fit snugly. It was easy to slip in and out. The magnetic clasp seemed solid enough (although I'm a little concerned what wear and tear will do). In general, I'm satisfied.

...not the highest quality leather (is it even leather?) when compared to the 'hermes-like' case for the leica cm (original zip and ever-ready) or the m cases...

Review: This is a wonderful pure leather camera case that will compliment your Leica or Panasonic camera. It's a retro-looking fine leather case that will fit your camera snugly and offers a matching leather shoulder strap. The thick leather offers excellent camera protection.Highly recommended to add even more class to your Leica product.
