Conclusion: Lexmark Z816 Printer is an Excellent printer & Value!
Review: This Lexmark Z816 printer cost $12 NEW! Not refurbished...reconditioned...but NEW! Of course it came with NO Ink cartridges. As many of you know, many "experts" advise to shy away from bargains like this--touting the fact that the cartridges cost MORE than the printer--e.g.--average $20-30 for B/W & Color cartridges. CORRECT! EXCEPT--one has to use a little math and a few smarts, to realize that MOST printer cartridges are outrageous...$20-40 even as an across the board figure. PLUS many printers sold by manufacturers cost $50 to over 250--PLUS the cartridge cost mentioned above. The "smarts" apply, by getting "no brainer" refill kits to refill the costly cartridges. Points: $12 printer--ONE $20 OEM Bk and $22 OEM for a color cartridge--PLUS refill kits for both cost $10 Black--$15 Color--which will give one several refills. In my opinion, Lexmark is a quality printer...very fast...dependable...no-nonsense installation,, and will satisfy most users.
