Conclusion: Usefull in some Conditions Review: I replaced my default eyepiece which is a piece of rubber came with my E-510. I bought this because I like to use manual focus with my 14-42mm and 40-150mm. These lenses don't offer very accurate and fast auto focus and I want to shoot close-up things.
The conditions to feel this piece usefull:
1- Shooting macro.
2- Good light source (or maybe good lens).
never expect huge deference. 1.2x isn't enough and barely there is a deference but 2x could be better.
I don't consider buying this piece as a waste of money (small lens better than nothing anyway) because I use the Macro mode with the ex-25. but if you always use auto focus or you don't care about macro, then don't bother yourself with this piece. for the price, It's expensive for just 1.2x

Conclusion: Olympus ASME1 EyeCup for EOS 20D Review: This EyeCup needs some modification to really fit in the EOS 20D, by either cutting or filing off a piece of plastic.
After that, it works well. Bright and make the view finder bigger, as big as the full frame view finder.
Recommended for those who prefer a larger view through the view finder.

Conclusion: new eyecup for my E-500 Review: I've lost old eyecup that came with E-500. I found AS-ME-1 Eyecup information from internet and purchased it.
After I've recieved it and use it, I've found that its performance better than the old one a little.

Conclusion: Olympus AS-ME-1 Eyecup on my E-501 Review: Being used to my E-1, I was having problems focusing through the viewfinder of my new E-501. The ME-1 Eyecup solved that, was easy to install and has the Olympus great build quality. Now it fields like I'm focusing through my E-1 viewfinder again.

Conclusion: Worth it for manual focusing... Review: I like to use manual focus on my E-500 a lot, and purchased this for that reason. With the recent addition of a Lensbaby to my camera bag, I'm really glad I have this, since every bit helps when using one. The magnification isn't HUGE with this eyepiece, but I have the benefit of having a friend with the same camera, and when you compare directly between the stock eyecup and this one, you can see the difference. Not for everyone, but if you want a little boost for using manual focus, I highly recommend this.
