The DIGIMAX L50 includes a 1/2.5 inch CCD with 5.0 mega-pixels. The EDO mega-pixel CCD provides natural looking colors. You can develop pictures from normal size (4x6) to large size (11x14) with clear and sharper images. The DIGIMAX L50 employs a 2.8x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom. Using both will offer a total zoom ratio of 11.2x. From taking close-up pictures to pictures of landscape, you can conveniently take all pictures through this zoom regardless of the place. In addition, when you set Play mode, an image can be enlarged up to 5 times so that you have more fun viewing images via a large 2.5 inch TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 230, 000 pixels.

Review: I bought this camera as an upgrade. I had a 2 megapixel Kodak camera and I wanted a new camera with (1) More megapixels and (2) Thinner design so it would fit in my pocket. This camera is not all bad. I have taken some decent shots with it. And it is thin enough to take everywhere. However, I am quite surprised that most of my pictures are worse with this camera than they were with my previous camera, which had less MP.

I don't know what the issue is, but way too many of my pictures with this Samsung come out blurry. This has not happened to me before, with cameras digital or otherwise. With the Samsung I have to take a lot of shots to hope that one of them comes out OK. I went to a concert on Saturday and took 45 pictures. About 5 were good enough to print. Also, the zoom on this camera is awful. I completely expect to lose resolution with the zoom, but this is ridiculous. And again, I had no problems of the sort with my previous camera (which I should have stayed with).

I bought the Samsung because it seemed like a great deal at the time. But I have been truly disappointed with the quality. For the price and features, I did not expect some spectacular camera, but I certainly expected it to at least work better. I've played around with the features and tried taking the same shots in Auto, Program, and Scene modes, and nothing improves.

Shop around and do more research than I did when I bought this camera. There are better models out there for the same or better prices. I have other Samsung products that I am happy with, but this is the LAST Samsung camera I will ever buy. It took me 2 years to upgrade from my last camera, and I am upset that it's only been a few months and I am already looking for a new camera because this one is simply not up to par.

Conclusion: I LOVE MY NEW CAMERA

Review: Yay!!! I'm excited to be the first one to give you guys my honest opinion about the Samsung L50. I got my in blue just today and I have read the manual and played around with it a bit.
Things I love:
-Love that it's a pretty navy blue!
-Love how little and thin it is!
-Love that it came with a case!
-Love that the 2.5 LCD screen is big enough!
-Love that it has a rechargable battery!

The picture quality is pretty good. There have been some pictures that were a little blurry but if you have a more steady hand it will come out good. I just got it today so I haven't uploaded the pictures to my computer but I am sure that they will be just as good as what it shows on the LCD screen.

I love that it comes with memory already in it, but you can only take like 7 pictures and a minute worth of video. But I knew that I was going to need more memory than what they provided so I went on an ordered a Sandisk 1GB memory card on amazon for $29.99! What a great deal!! :) With this memory card you can get over 500 pictures and 45 minutes on video on the highest quality. Now check this out, on the lowest memory you can get over 5000 picture and over 5 hours of video!! How great is that? :)

The reason why I rated it a 4(which if they had the option I would rate it a 4.5) is because when you zoom during recording on video mode, it mutes while it is zooming. But my advice would be just don't zoom if you don't have too or just know that it is going to mute for a while.

But I will be playing with it a little more and I might get back up and inform you guys of some more stuff. But I would advice my bestest friend to get this so that means if you are looking for a cheap camera with great qualities then I would get this camera!! :)
