If you're looking for outstanding print performance combined with Print-Copy-Scan convenience, look no further. With one machine, you can easily print high-quality photos and text, copy important documents, and scan your photos and other images. To achieve its impressive print results, Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) uses an innovative print head with 1,472 nozzles that eject consistent, precise ink droplets as small as 2 picoliters. More nozzles + higher accuracy = better photos. This patented technology produces an outstanding resolution of up to 4800 x 1200 color dpi, for superb detail and photo-realism. It,s fast, too; printing a beautiful photo lab quality 4"x 6" borderless photo takes approximately 55 seconds. For improved copying performance, AE (Auto Exposure) Copy feature automatically optimizes reproduction quality based on the type of original you're duplicating. Whether you're copying your photos, text documents or a mix of both, the MP450 Photo All-In-One automatically adjusts the exposure to give you the best output possible.

Using the built-in 1.9" color LCD viewer, you can actually see your images in full color and enhance them before printing! Just insert your compatible memory card into one of the built-in card slots. As needed, the PIXMA MP450 Photo All-In-One Printer will automatically correct for red eye, improve sharpness and enhance the light values on your subjects' faces. Or, you can fine tune the images yourself using the easy control panel. As another convenient option, you can print directly from your PictBridge ready devices such as digital cameras, with automatic face brightening. Want to print photos directly from your infrared-enabled mobile phone? Just point your phone and print! And for Bluetooth-equipped mobile phones, PCs and PDAs, this versatile performer is Bluetooth compatible with the optional Bluetooth adapter - allowing you to print from a ne

Conclusion: disappointed and frustrated with this printer!

Review: Bought this about 1 1/2 years ago and wish I didn't. Almost immediately I had problems with the print quality, then it suddenly stopped working altogether. The closest repair facility is over an hour away in another state so I called tech support. The guy was friendly and we tried a bunch of things that didn't work. He sent me a "new" printer for free and I sent mine back in the box the new one came in. Turns out the "new" one didn't work (after a couple hours of trying to figure out what I did wrong I finally realized it wasn't me).

So I returned that one for #2. That one lasted two days and stopped working too! So I gave up. I bought a different brand and won't buy a Canon again. Thought they had a good reputation but there are many other brands out there. Keep looking!

Conclusion: Only lasted through ONE set of print cartridges!

Review: I was excited to get a good deal on this printer through Amazon with my rebate. As a photo printer, I noticed that the colors were yellowish. I used it for scanning photos (which worked very well) and printing documents. It was fast with documents for a while, but right after I put in the second set of cartridges - and we all know how expensive those are - the take up reel quit. And that was it. So now I'm stuck with a huge, broken printer and a full set of cartridges. I know printers are kind of expected to be disposable these days, but this was ridiculous.

I have an older HP PSC 2355 that I use for my digital scrapbook pages. I have literally printed several hundred full color borderless color pages on this thing. The prints are beautiful - colors gorgeous - and I have probably run 10 sets of cartridges through it. It's still going strong.

I am highly disappointed in this Canon. Will never buy one again.

Conclusion: I love my Pixma MP450

Review: Pros:
1. I bought at a local store,with discounts I paid, $70.00. Loved the price.
2. The software that came with my printer/scanner/copier is top notch.
3. The ink seems to last me for a very long time. The price is close to what all ink for other printers cost. No complaint here. ;)

Cons:
1. Is a bit loud when feeding paper, but I can live with it. I am going to set the quiet mode as soon as finish here.
2. The paper does seem to need straightening up pretty often, but hey that's minor. Would be nice if it held more paper in the tray.

I am very pleased with my MP450. I even bought me an extra one for when this one poops out.

I recommend this unit to anyone that needs a printer that wants to print your own photos. Use the Canon paper and you will get fantastic prints.
