Conclusion: beware of defective paper-feed rollers

Review: I like HP printers, but the paper-feed rollers have a defect so common that HP mails a kit free-of-charge to specifically address this problem: a plastic insert that goes in the paper tray, topped with a sandpaper-like material to coarsen the rollers. The kit works, but only temporarily. The paper feed errors returned a few months later, the kit no longer works, and HP will not do anything further once the printer's out of warranty.

Conclusion: Eats ink quickly. Where does the new cartridge go?

Review:
HP Photosmart 8050 Printer: I have had many HP products before and the new ones kill the ink faster for some reason. I think they've figured we were getting too good of a value before and they weren't making enough money on ink sales because of course ink costs more than the printer.
The pages are coming out too dark. Oh, and where does the ink GO in this model? Even my HP 4x6 printer is sucking ink. I know, I do ALOT of printing because I have three kids. I need lower ink prices and better ussage of ink NOW. Thanks for reading I just hope THEY get the message.

Conclusion: A good basic printer

Review: For what I paid, this is a great printer. I have had less problems and breakdowns from this printer than I've had from any other printer. The print quality is very good. This printer sold me on possibly purchasing another HP....I love the hassle free printing. It's very frustrating to have a printer breakdown when you need it, this is a pretty reliable printer.

Conclusion: Great until it breaks!

Review: Used the printer off and on for both documents and photos, good print quality. Had it safely stored for a year. Been using it again very lightly I might add, and the USB port on the printer died. All the sudden no printer recognition. All HP can say - is it is probably cheaper to just buy a new one.

Conclusion: Piece of Junk!!! DO NOT BUY!!!

Review: I hate this printer. I hate this printer. I hate this printer. The quality is terrible and 9 times out of 10 when I go to print, it says it is out of paper when it has a completly full tray of paper. Terrible print quality too even on the best settings after multiple calibrations and cleanings with HP photo paper. Colors are all wrong, completly the wrong shade and, visible imperfections throughout. Do not buy cheap printers on day after Thanksgiving sales. I learned my lesson. I am going to shoot this thing for entertainment then go buy a good printer, but no way will I ever buy another HP.
