Conclusion: Another Solid Product By APC Review: This APC unit is built rock-solid and does exactly what we need it for: keep our machines up and running when the power goes out. With 4 battery backup ports (plus 3 surge only outlets) and very quiet operation, this is a must have accessory for anyone that uses their computer on a daily basis. Upon setting up this unit we lost power only days after plugging this in and we were able to continue our work and save our precious data before disaster struck. With the very likely possibility that an electrical surge can happen at any moment and cause a $15 surge protector to allow this deathblow through without the slightest resistance, you would be ill-advised to not have one of these protecting your investment(s)!!
***** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Conclusion: Seems to be what we need Review: We have a home office and this is the model that the APC website recommended based on my answers to their questions about our equipment and how it is used. I was able to save money by purchasing through Amazon.com instead of through the APC website but it as far as I can tell is exactly the same product. It seems to be what we need and as far as I can tell should last for a long time.

Conclusion: A good UPS, but there's an error in the specs. Review: I bought this UPS due to the fact that APC claims it has full AVR boost and trim, which is becoming harder and harder to find (especially in cheaper UPS's). Most UPS's today that claim to have AVR only have boost AVR but not Trim. After I bought this unit I discovered that it in fact did not have AVR Trim which upset me. APC did make it right by replacing my unit with a Back-UPS RS 1000 which has both AVR Boost and Trim but I thought people should know that this model does not have AVR Trim.
Otherwise it's a very good UPS and can power a 200W load for over 30 minutes. It also features both Ethernet and Phone line protection. It's a very good UPS for most computers.

Conclusion: Back-UPS RS 800VA Review: I found that the Back-UPS RS 800VA meets my needs for a power backup system. The unit will supply power to my PC for about 10 minutes before placing the PC into XP Hibernation mode, there is 5 minutes of backup power left at this point. This unit also protects the PC from power surges.
The only two draw back I have found to this unit are:
1) That the 3 Nema 5-15R outlets power is not controlled by the units front panel on-off switch These outlets are surge protection only, the four battery backup outlets are controlled by the on-off switch.
2) Unit is noisy. I don't know if this noise is coming from an internal fan or from the AC power converter.
