Editorial Reviews:

Velocity component video interconnects by Impact Acoustics will improve the performance of your progressive scan video sources by providing a much better interconnect solution than the "throw away" cables that are included with most consumer electronics products. The oxygen-free copper center conductor and foamed PE dielectric work to maintain 75-ohm characteristic impedance. The dual braided oxygen-free copper shields and aluminum foil sheath offer protection from environmental noise and interference. Robustly constructed using color-coded molded connectors that attach to an ultra-flexible jacket, Velocity cables are the epitome of easy installation and identification. 24K gold plated heavy-duty connectors ensure long-lasting, highly conductive signal connections.

Review: After reading the reviews I purchased these component velocity cables. A1Books mailed them immediately. I am very satisfied with their service and product.

I noticed the picture quality immediately.

I am glad I did not spend $40 to $100.00.

Conclusion: Great Cable, Great Price

Review: I purchased this cable along with my Samsung LCD TV to connect my progressive scan DVD player. I have an expensive component video Monster cable to connect my ReplayTV. I couldn't resist comparing the two cables (using the same device) considering the *big* difference in price. This much more reasonably priced cable performs just as well as the pricier Monster cable. My only nitpick is that the RCA connectors could fit a bit more snugly than they do. It's not lose enough to come off by itself, but my cats "duking it out" behind my AV setup could probably pull it loose. Still, an excellent cable, excellent price. ...And I could buy a bunch of these for what that Monster cable cost me!

Conclusion: Get these instead of those obscenely priced Monster Cables

Review: This was cheaper than Walmart.

They are well made.

It is actually kind of nice they are blue so you can tell which cable is which in the tangle that is always behind an entertainment center.

Conclusion: Spendy ... but necessary

Review: God bless technology. With the new (for now) HD Digital age, I now have a drawer full of obsolete cable connections. Having said that, if you've gotta have them, these are acceptable. My only complaint: it took forever for these doohickeys to arrive.

Conclusion: They work well (plus a tip for noobs)

Review: Great quality cables at a great price.

If you're a novice to component video, as I was, make sure that you properly change the setting on your DVD player from "S-Video Output" to "Component Video Output". Otherwise you're going to get a smurf screen and think you have defective cables!
