The Sunpak Mini-PRO Plus tripod is ready to fill any small tripod need. It offers the ultimate in compact yet full-feature design. Its 3-way head with built-in bubble level and retractable video indexing pin features a short panning knob to maintain its ultra compact design. The pan head is easily removed for use with other Sunpak accessories, such as the Sunpak Compact Ballhead. Leg extensions include both twist locks for the middle leg section, and a quick-pull for the lower leg section, extending the working height to over 12 inches, yet folding down to a mere 8 inches and weighing only 14.9 oz. The center column is secured with an oversized locking collar, while the lower end of the column has a suction cup mount to adhere to smooth surfaces - ideal for when using the tripod with longer focal lenses, to prevent camera tip-over. The Mini-PRO Plus also has an extendable panhandle that affords users more precise panning control. The Mini-PRO Plus has a maximum height of 12.2 inches, yet folds to less than 8 inches and weighs only 14.9 oz.

Evaluation:
Conclusion: general purpose shortie tripod Review: I don't use it much but when you need one, you really need it. This one looks reasonably well made but lacks stability with a large DSLR such as the Nikon D200 with the 18-200 lens in place. Lots of features at a very reasonable price. Best suited to light duty.

Conclusion: Little size, big performance Review: I have an aluminium tripod with standard size and bubble level and the difference with the mini-Pro Plus is the size. Excellent to use with telephoto lens or macro photos. If your camera don't have image stabilizer, you can use this mini tripod to reduce the camera tip-over. The center leg has a suction cup mount that It can be adhere on surfaces like glass.

Conclusion: As advertised Review: The only caveat I have is that the footprint of the legs is very small (especially when fully retracted), so if you've got a long lens on a camera, you do risk the tripod toppling over if you don't take care to extend one of the feet along the same line as the camera is facing.
The adjustments are smooth and tight, and overall there's a feeling of quality I didn't expect in this price. I bought the tripod for a one-time special need, and ended up putting it in my gear bag as a generally useful tool.

Conclusion: Flimsy but usable Review: I bought several of these tripods for my research group. I stick small firewire cameras on them in lab. The tripods are nice because they are very close to the ground, but the construction makes them a bit wobbly and annoying to setup. I don't know of any better alternatives.
All in all, they serve there function -- the telescoping works and the height has enough adjustability to make them useful.

Conclusion: Less than adequate quality Review: Mine lasted about 4 months before the pot-metal nut embedded in the pan head stripped and the handle came off in my hand.
