Conclusion: To Pricey.
Review: After doing some digging, I've found out that Panasonic seems to be the supplier of Canon tapes. Makes sense since Canon camcorders used to be packaged with Panasonic tapes. Panasonic tapes are much cheaper and of the same quality as the Canon ones.

Conclusion: Get some at walmart instead
Review: I bought this with my camera and I guess I didnt realize I could get 3 sony tapes at walmart for the same price. My bad. But I would recommend you get the sony ones locally versus spending $14 on one tape.
