Review: No local stores have smart media cards available and I was somewhat leery of purchasing one online, but the product was exactly what I expected and came in a timely manner at a reasonable price. I have since purchased a gps unit from Amazon for my wife and was extremely pleased with that purchase also.

Conclusion: Smart Media memory card
Review: Now bypassed by more popular flash memory cards, the Smart Media (SM) card is still used in older electronic data devices, particularly digital cameras. My Olympus point-and-shoot cameras still work, are still used, and I like to have an extra SM card for each. It's like having a spare roll of film.
While on a long trip, or making a photo document, the extra card is insurance against running out of memory. The same card can also be used to store documents from Word or Word Perfect, E-mails, etc, via a card-reader attached (USB, for example) to a computer.
Once the information on the card is transferred to a computwer's hard disk, the card can be formatted and is then ready to store more/different information. I like and use flash memory cards a lot for photos and short documents.
